Photo Shoot Preview

Here are a few previews of the pics from Avery's photo shoot. They are copyrighted but his photographer said we could share them with whomever we wanted so here they are... I'm such a sucker for photos :)

Grandparents are the BEST!

We've had two very special visitors in our house this week. Avery's Grandma Becky has been out for the week to help us adjust to parenthood. Not only does Avery love his Grandma to pieces but she has been a HUGE help to Joe and I, and we've loved having her around. Grandpa Leigh also came out to meet his first grandson over this past weekend with the help of Aunt Annie, and the three Mueller boys had a great time together. Avery can't wait to meet his Grandpa Ron and Grandma Betsy in just one short week!

Visitors :)

We have been so blessed with a great support system here in the D.C. area and have so much fun showing off our new little bundle of joy. Joe's buddy Mike was able to stop by the evening of Avery's birth and his wife (and soon to be second mommy to Avery in January), Roberta, popped in a little later. Cousin Kim, Aunt Barb and the crew came by and we had so much fun seeing the kids with Avery. Can't wait to see him in Kennedy and Ashtyn's arms! Todd and Lissie have been going through this whole transition to parenthood together with us and it was great to have them stop by. We look forward to their baby's arrival in a few short days.

Loving Parenthood...

It's a boy! Introducing Avery Michael Mueller...

We are so proud and happy to introduce little Avery Michael Mueller. He took over our world on Sunday, November 8th at 3:31pm. Avery weighed in at 8 lbs 5 oz and was 21 inches long. He decided it was time to make his appearance while I was anesthetizing a patient in a C-Section Saturday night around 11:30pm. I was trying to hide the contractions from the patient and new father and made my way home a little after midnight to prep for the hospital. The delivery was scarier than we would have hoped and we are SO grateful to have a healthy little boy with us. He is quite the tenacious little man! Despite a tight cord around the neck and a pretty blue arrival he was kicking and screaming vigorously and pinked up for almost perfect Apgar scores of 9 and 9. We all need a little extra recovery time so sorry for the delay in photos. I promise there are many more to come!
